Working Films is seeking passionate, well organized, smart and creative people to join our team this Summer. We are hiring a Campaign Coordinator and an Impact Producer. The deadlines to apply for these positions is July 7, 2017. 

Campaign Coordinator Full Time Permanent Position

Working with other campaign staff, as well as our network of national, state, and local allies, the Working Films Campaign Coordinator will ensure our campaigns meet the needs and advance the goals of our partner organizations, and ultimately make an impact.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in community organizing and/or audience engagement with documentary media, and have a demonstrated commitment to social and environmental justice. We are looking for a go-getter who excels independently and as part of a collaborative team.

The Campaign Coordinator will have the option to work remotely or in our Wilmington, NC office. We strongly encourage candidates based in the U.S. South to apply.

Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

-In collaboration with Working Films’ partners, designing and coordinating statewide campaigns that meet the needs of allied organizations and filmmakers.

-Participating in issue research.

-Ensuring campaigns remain aligned with goals and timelines.

-Managing event logistics.

-Tracking expenses and managing budgets.

-Assisting in producing and distributing outreach and press materials (including social media content).

-Developing and managing local, state, regional and national organizational partnerships.

-Attending high profile and large screening events to manage volunteers & speak to audiences.

-Overseeing the tracking and evaluation of project activities through partner surveys and interviews with partners and film teams.

-Maintaining written narratives detailing all aspects of campaigns, and assisting in the creation of monthly project newsletters and campaign reports.

-Participating in staff and board meetings, team project planning, and ongoing organizational processes.

Qualifications/Skills:

-Familiarity with community engagement with documentary film, visual art, or other media.

IMPACT PRODUCER  Full-time Contract Position (6 months with potential for an extension)

Working Films is hiring a full time Impact Producer to manage grassroots, festival, and theatrical screenings events in partnership with national, state, and local organizations.

With guidance from Working Films’ campaign staff, the Impact Producer will manage all aspects of the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Working Films’ documentary film campaigns.

Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

-Developing and implementing documentary engagement and distribution plans in collaboration with other campaign staff.

-Developing and managing local, state, national and regional organizational partnerships.

-Managing the social media presence of the campaign using a variety of outreach platforms.

-Ensuring impact campaigns remain aligned with the goals and timeline developed with partners and the film team.

-Overseeing tracking and evaluation of film campaigns

-Assisting with logistics and coordination of screening events

-Drafting and coordinating communications activities related to each film campaign including press releases, newsletters, eblasts, social media, etc.

–Maintaining written narratives detailing all aspects of campaigns, and assisting in the creation of monthly project newsletters and campaign reports.

-Facilitating communication among partners during the planning and implementation of campaigns and screening events.

Successful candidates will have:

-3-5+ years experience managing large-scale film or other public engagement campaigns.

-Excellent interpersonal skills.

-Experience facilitating dynamic group processes.

-Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

-Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

-Ability to collaborate effectively within teams

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Experience in event planning and promotion.

-Experience securing and maintaining partnerships.

-Experience leading online outreach and engagement using a variety of social media platforms.

-Familiarity with film production and distribution processes.

-Knowledge of and an enthusiastic commitment to the organization’s mission, methodology, and offerings.
